The Nose Says

"What kind of world are we living in? Killing for sport is wrong and we allow it. What possible justification can there be?

I have never heard a single argument which made any sense as to why killing for sport is acceptable. NOT ONE. I challenge any one to explain why killing for sport should be allowed.

I have heard an argument which says hunting maintains our way of life, traditional country pastimes, that city dwellers don't understand the ways of the country and so on and so forth. Or that hunters do more for conservation than anyone because they obviously need to maintain the countryside where the animals are reared and then finally hunted..... I've heard such arguments and I'm stunned and appalled to still hear them being trotted out in this day and age.

What is wrong with us? There is only one argument that counts and it's a very simple one, simple to say, simple to understand and simply correct. It is KILLING FOR SPORT IS WRONG. If you're having trouble with this concept read it again more slowly KILLING FOR SPORT IS WRONG.

If you're still having trouble with the concept then you are in trouble. I can think of no worse pornography than taking pleasure from killing, and/or inflicting unnecessary pain and/or suffering for no better reason than sport.

Killing for sport i.e blood sport, i.e. hunting is self evidently wrong and I will not insult you by justifying the obvious.

As night follows day blood sport will be outlawed and when it is people will look back and say how could a so called educated, enlightened society have allowed such a thing?
